Dictate The Game – Potential Writers Brief

Firstly, thank you for showing an interest in joining our writing team! We’re keen to see your skills as a writer.

Before you join, we’d like you to write a piece on something you’re interested in regarding Football Manager. We aren’t looking for a specific word count, rather that the article is well rounded without being too long. Ideally an article which is not an FM story, as we run a four week schedule. If you are stuck for inspiration look at other articles on our site for guidance. Obviously, we have very differing articles, some really in depth articles and some that just touch the surface, both are equally as important.

If you can save your articles to a word document and title it “DTG.(your name)” and send it us. Either on our Twitter, our Facebook page or to our email – dictatethegamefm@gmail.com . Within the article, please also attach your twitter handle, and explain reasons why you want to join Dictate The Game.

Once we have received your article we will review it collectively, as a team and then give you feedback as well as notifying you whether you will be joining the team. This does sound harsh, but it’s the fairest way we can do it, with the amount of writers interested.

Please do include graphics, where possible and bring the page to life. Whether that’s just a stock photo, or you’ve been doing analysis, get it all in there!

Last year (2020) we reached our biggest milestone to date, we had an annual site viewing of over 1 million. This is one of the reasons we are growing and need to expand, the demand has increased and so has our goals.

We have already started the year with incredible views, and increasing our social media followers, but now it’s time to get back to hard work.

There is no deadline for this, but if we see an article we really like, we will be bringing them in as soon as possible. Due to the nature of how we operate, we will ensure everyone is responded to.

If you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask and enjoy your writing!
