This was done with New York Red Bulls in the East, there is a chance one or two players might have not wanted to join New York RB who would be happy to join San Jose in the West. This search was also done with the advanced database selected of ‘load all players’ from ‘USA’ as well as the scouting package of USA.

I hope you find a few of these within your save and find them useful! Please make sure you comment below who you signed from the list!

Goalkeepers

Ryan MearaGoalkeeper28
Vito MannoneGoalkeeper31
David OustedGoalkeeper34
Jesse GonzálezGoalkeeper24

Each of the goalkeepers are long term players in the MLS who have played their trade at a high level over the last few years. Some of them are reaching their end of their careers but are still worth a shout for a season or two before replacing them.

Defenders

Aaron LongDefender Centre27
Matt Besler Defender Left32
Kemar LawrenceDefender Left27
Tommy SmithDefender Centre29
Maxime ChanotDefender Centre29

All of these defenders have appeared at a high level over the last few seasons, the most obvious being Aaron Long, the winner of MLS Defender of the Year in 2018. All of these players are about to reach their prime or are in it.

Midfielders

Dax McCartyMidfield Centre32
Will TrappMidfield Centre26
Marc RzatkowskiMidfield Centre29
Darlington NagbeMidfield Centre29

Once again, these midfielders have played their trade in the MLS for at least a season, and have done well. Dax McCarty has excellent leadership qualities and would make a fantastic captain, whilst Kaku, at just 24, is one for the future.

Forwards

NamePositionAge
Bradley Wright PhillipsStriker34
Josef MartinezStriker26
Carlos VelaWinger30
Zlatan Ibrahimovic Striker38
Chris Wondolowski Striker36

All these strikers have proven they can do it in the MLS week in week out. BWP is a two-time Golden Boot holder, scoring 108 goals in just under 200 games, whilst Martinez, Zlatan and Vela have rocked up in recent years and took the league apart. Wondolowski is an old vet of the league, and even at the age of 36 is scoring a lot of goals. Worth a shot?
