Fresh Start For African Football

2019 sees the return of the African Cup Of Nations, but with a few changes this year. The tournament this year will begin in June for the first time in the history of the Nations Cup. It will take place in Egypt (rather controversially) with a new amount of teams, 24 to be exact, rather than the original 16.

What if Foles Played the Other Football?

Nick Foles is the back-up quarterback for the American football team the Philadelphia Eagles. He’s a great quarterback, winning the MVP award for the previous Super Bowl, and a decent athlete with a history in basketball and in American football. I’m sure if he really tried and learned the other football, he would be able to put in a decent shift as a center midfielder or slot into a back-line. This article isn’t about him as an athlete and seeing if he could make it in a different sport, this article addresses a unique problem the Eagles have with two great quarterbacks and how the fluidity of football would offer a solution American football may not be able to, unless changes in the sports the rigid play style is made.

Does Age Make a Difference in a Striker? | Football Manager Experiment

top

Typically, when you search for a new player to join your team on Football Manager, age can be a big factor in whether or not you will sign them. I want to create an experiment that looks at two identical players in terms of attributes, but completely different ages. I want to find out whether age is a defining moment in the signing of a player.

In this particular experiment, I am going to create a player who would be suited to a lot of clubs. I will make him English, he will be 182 CM, either footed, a striker and weigh 80kg. I have made sure the player have no preferred moves.

Who will win the Nations League?

Following the back of England’s most successful World Cup since 1990, we have to now turn to the future and ultimately where the current crop of England stars will be strutting their stuff next year.

Southgate and the English Media team managed to create a feel good vibe with this young cohort of players. This was backed up through stellar performances, before and after the World Cup. Recent highlights include a 3-2 win over Spain and the 2-1 win over Croatia last week. But can we go all the way in the inaugural Nations League final?

Why Auditors Never Caught FIFA’s Corruption

For accounting enthusiasts (or people simply in the accounting industry), the corruption scandal that sent waves through a multi-billion dollar non-profit known as FIFA with hundreds of member associations, is a fantastic case study in fraud and corruption. For football enthusiasts, the corruption scandal is a peek into the dark arts and methods beyond the field. But both of these enthusiasts and industries have little in common, and are unable to describe what is happening on their end to each other. I hope in this article to bridge that gap, as an accounting student pursuing my CFE and a massive football fan.

Football Manager 2019’s new features – and if they’re worth it.

Football Manager is once again due another game in the franchise. On November 2nd. As always Sports Interactive have introduced new features to the game and they’ve created some videos on the new features.

Tom Davidson and Curtis Morton host The FM Show, which discusses FM19’s new features.

There is a new feel to the game, with new logo branding and merchandise. The much-loved ‘manager man’ retired and put you as the new manager adding more of a personal aspect to the game. They are offering 10% off the game as a pre-purchase, as well as access to the beta. However, I’m sure you can get the game for cheaper on other sites. The first video on their channel didn’t reveal too much information regarding new features, but they did announce that Football Manager are sponsoring Hashtag United, the YouTube football team that are attempting to take on the English pyramid.
