Football Manager 2019 will be out in less than two months, so it’s time to decide what team you should manage. In this article, I will be giving you eight teams that you should choose as your team for FM19. For each team, I will give you the key player, the hot prospect and why you should manage them…

Liverpool F.C.

Liverpool have started the season in fine form with 15 points out of 15. They look like real title contenders…can you be the manager to finally get them that Premier League trophy?

New players such as Naby Keita, Allison, and Fabinho adds even more talent to an already very talented squad, which includes Firmino, Mane and Salah.

Key Player: Mo Salah

Hot Prospect: Ben Woodburn

Wolves

Wolves have a very good squad for a newly promoted side, furthermore, they haven’t held back on spending the cash. Unlikely to be relegated, the Midlands-based side, look a safe bet to consolidate their position in the Premier League for many years to come…

With talented players like Ruben Neves, Joao Moutinho and Jorge Mendes, could you achieve a top half finish?

Key Player: Joao Moutinho

Hot Prospect: Ruben Neves

Ipswich Town F.C.

The Suffolk side first enjoyed major success back in 1962, when Sir Alf Ramsey, and his side, won the league title at the first attempt.

The main success came under Sir Bobby Robson winning the FA Cup in 1978 and the UEFA Cup in 1981.

Following Robson’s departure, the club fell down the table before relegation. Brief spells in the Premier League happened between 1992 and 1995, and 2000 and 2002, where they qualified for the UEFA Cup for the first time in nearly 20 years.

Relegation followed though, and Town haven’t been back since, can you take The Tractor Boys back to the promised land?

Key Player: Gwion Edwards

Hot Prospect: Andre Dozzell

Juventus

A team that hit the headlines during the summer for signing CR7. A team that appeared in 2 Champions League Final in the last four years, but they have lost both finals. Can CR7 change that?

The addition of Ronaldo adds to a team already very talented with players such as Dybala, Bonnuci and of course the signing of Emre Can, an excellent midfielder, also adds greatly to the squad.

Youngster, Moise Kean, is also a huge prospect and could turn into a world-class talent…

Key Player: Cristiano Ronaldo

Hot Prospect: Moise Kean

Sunderland

Sunderland are now playing their trade in League One, following two successive relegation. Under the ownership of Steward Donald, can you take them back to the big time?

They have money to spend. With a very large stadium capacity of 49,000, Sunderland have all the facilities to be in the Premier League, it is just up to you and the players to achieve that… can you?

With experienced players such as Lee Cattermole and Lynch Gooch combined with youth such as Josh Maja and Donald Love, there’s potential to take them up, for sure.

Key Player: Lee Cattermole

Hot Prospect: Josh Maja

Aston Villa

The former Premier League regulars have been in the Championship for their third season, since being relegated from the top flight division in 2016. I’m not sure that was their plan when they went down in 2015-16…

The club is now under new ownership, which has allowed the club to pay its debts. Villa have a talented squad including Jack Grealish, Yannick Bolasie (on loan from Everton), Tammy Abraham (on loan from Chelsea) and many more. The squad is more than good enough for promotion.

Key Player: Yannick Bolasie

Hot Prospect: Jack Grealish

Salford City

Owned by Peter Lim and The Class of 92, there’s no doubt that a lot of money has been pumped into the Conference National side including on players and the new stadium, “Peninsula Stadium.”

They currently play in the Conference National, just a single division below the Football League, and with a good squad, and financial backing, how far could you take The Ammies?

Could you do a DoctorBenjy and take them to European success? Or simpler and just get them into the Football League?

Key Player: Adam Rooney

Hot Prospect: Tom Walker

  Paris F.C.

When people talk about football clubs in Paris, they talk about PSG – with players like Neymar, Cavani, Mbappe, it’s easy to see why – but there is another football team in the French capital…

Paris F.C. were originally founded in 1969 – but in 1972 formed with Stade Saint-Germain to form PSG. The current incarnation of the club due to a bitter split between the new club PSG – due to pressure from the mayor of Paris. Paris FC got to stay in the first division, whilst PSG were relegated to the third division.

Sadly, Paris F.C. quickly fell down the leagues, and haven’t played in the top flight of French football since the 1978-79 season.

Paris spent a number of seasons in the amateur leagues before winning promotion to the Championnat National for the 2006-07 season. They currently play in Ligue 2, the second tier of French football, and in their debut season finished 8th.

Could you lead Paris F.C. back to the top? Could you take back Paris from PSG?

Key Player: Rominigue Kouamé

Hot Prospect: Dylan Saint-Louis
